Southern gap branches continue growth curve

2017 has been a phenomenal year for the Exeter, Cardiff, Newport, Swindon, Bristol and Gloucester branches which are led by Operations Director (South), Richard Thorne. The region will end the year with an annual increase of 35% on turnover.

The Management team have worked hard to implement new regional branch processes in 2017 with the efficiencies gained from this underpinning growth in the region.

The culture of our offices has also been developed further to ensure gap personnel are, ‘The recruitment agency of choice’ for both clients & workers.

The regions branches have become 360 degree offices, where service teams focus entirely on recruitment and delivery & our sales teams focus on understanding clients’ challenges and providing
workable solutions.

New branch Yeovil opened in September 2017 with an experienced team ready to grow the branch in 2018. Expansion of the Commercial division across the region has been a tremendous success and has developed the service offering to the clients.

In October 2017, the region broke the gap personnel record for weekly profit – a huge achievement for a region only 7 years old in an organisation operating for 20 years. 2017 to date has seen the region add a further 130 clients that chose gap personnel as the partner to support their business

The charitable focus of gap 20:20 has seen members from across the region pull together to raise more than £7000 through parachute jumps, half marathons, the Welsh 3000 challenge & many other
activities. The support of staff and clients alike has been phenomenal.

One of the key things that can be forgotten in the day to day running of a business, is to ensure teams have fun in the work they do; this has been a focus across 2017 & will continue to be so.

2018 is set to be an exciting year for the South region with key objectives in the strategic business plan to continue growth. A new Bristol office is planned in a more traditional high street branch
location; there are tender negotiations with four key clients that are considering gap personnel as their agency of choice for 2018 & beyond and many more exciting initiatives.

2018 will see the recruitment industry challenged by the evolving & tightening of the labour market and Brexit related challenges. This will see many clients change labour providers in 2018 and we will ensure that gap personnel are the recruitment agency of choice to support businesses through these times.
