gap delivers free Food Safety Level 2 course to local community centre
Friday 5th February saw Matt Shaw of gap personnel’s dedicated training division make the short trip into North Wales to deliver some free community-based food safety training to members of a local community centre.
The Froncysyllte Community Centre, run by volunteers, is located a few miles outside of Llangollen in North Wales and serves a variety of local community members in the area. The community centre is regularly used by local walkers due to it’s location on a World Heritage Site.
Over 20 volunteers at the Community Centre received the training course, delivered by Matt Shaw, and all attendees receive Level 2 Food Safety certificates.
One of the attendees on the day, Sian Williams commented; “The cafe already has a five star hygiene rating, but we wanted to enhance our knowledge of food safety for our staff. gap personnel kindly offered to provide the training in the community centre – the delegeates thoroughly enjoyed the course which was very professionally delivered to the group at no cost. The volunteers at Cakes and Company also volunteer at a number of other groups in the are including local PTA’s and church groups. We would like to thank gap personnel and Kickstart2Employement for their generosity and time. Thank you again – you are marvellous!”
