gap personnel are pleased to announce that they have successfully been awarded REC Audited Status following the REC member bi annual audit, achieving a fantastic score of 98% in the online audit diagnostic.

The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) is recognised as the largest trade body within the UK recruitment industry. Focused on establishing high standards and driving professionalism throughout the industry many key initiatives have been developed ensuring the UK recruitment industry is respected at home, in Europe and worldwide. gap personnel have been an active member of the REC since 2006.

When agencies join the REC they sign up to the Code of Professional Practice (REC Code), which requires basic statutory compliance as well as higher ethical standards. REC members must pass the REC’s Compliance Test on entry to the REC and then must pass again every two years to retain membership.

The REC Audited scheme is an additional service available to REC members; it is the recognised gold standard for recruitment businesses and is the most comprehensive audit of its kind. It provides successful recruiters with an accreditation which confirms the agency is conducting its business ethically, in accordance with the legal requirements and with the REC Code. Achieving this award differentiates an organisation from the competition and increases the profile as a leading recruiter within the UK industry.

This comprehensive audit now goes much further than just compliance, requiring agencies to operate best practice in areas such as customer service, staff development, diversity and client management.
