Everyone’s job search is different depending on what you’re looking for. We are here to give you support and advice on finding the job you want.

working with us

While our main purpose as a recruitment business is to find you a job, what we really love is finding you a job you truly enjoy and that fits your needs.

We understand it's important that we do what we say we will, so we are always ready to have an open conversation with you if you feel like we could be doing something better. We pride ourselves on being real people, not robots in suits. We'll give you honest advice that will either get you the job you want or give you feedback and advice that will help get you there.

We are big believers in candidate care, and so we will be there at every stage of your job search – even after you find one. We’ve got loads of processes in place that are there to protect you. You are our top priority.

your journey

We are with you every step of the way to find you your ideal role.

apply for a job online or in branch

If you’re looking for a job, we can help. You’ll find all our live vacancies on our website and on external job boards where you can apply directly. If you fancy having a chat with one of our consultants, pop into your local branch so we can find out what you’re looking for or give us a call.

providing your proof of identity

It’s a legal requirement that we see original copies of your identification and proof of right to work in the UK.  This is so we can protect our workforce and our clients by following the correct hiring procedure. Don’t worry though, we will explain exactly what you need to show us when you book in to register with us.

If we have a vacancy that is a good match for you, we will register your details and set up an interview with one of our consultants. The interview will help us get to know you and gives us a chance to make sure the role is right for you and meets your expectations.

pre-placement preparation

At this stage we set up your work contract and any necessary assessments. When you start your new job, our clients might request that you complete an assessment or attend an induction that gives you all the information you need to know about the site you will be working at. If there is any training needed in the first few days this will be set up for you. This can be slightly different depending on what company you are working for, but we will help you along the way.

start work

Once you’ve completed all the stages above you can start work! On your first day, either your account manager or a designated person onsite will be there to greet you and make sure you get to where you need to go. If you are in a temporary role your salary will go through to your bank account on a weekly basis.

ongoing support from account manager

Once you start work that doesn’t mean you never hear from gap personnel again. Your account manager is always available if you need to have a chat about anything, and they are regularly onsite to carry out employee reviews.
