Group Financial Controller
Proudest gap moment
In 2018 I received a highly commended in ‘The Gary Dewhurst Award for Exceptional Service’ for my part in the Due Diligence undertaken before the sale of gap to Trust Tech Inc. Whilst this was a challenging and pressured time, it was great career experience to be involved in such a big event in gaps history. It was nice to be recognised for the effort and hard work that went into preparing all the financial information that was required during the process.
What I get up to outside of work
I have a horse called Splodge, who takes up most of my time. We enjoy a wide range of activities, including competing with a team in a national dressage competition – we came 6th in our Region last year.
I enjoy travelling to new places (nicknamed Judith Chalmers by friends) and love a challenge, having completed a 400km cycle across Kenya and the Inca Trail in Peru. To challenge myself this year I have started advanced swimming lessons to learn proper stroke and breathing technique.
I’m definitely an adventurer, always looking for new and interesting things to try – this so far has included swimming with turtles in Barbados, kayaking alongside alligators in Florida and handfeeding a Beluga whale and Walrus.
Have big dreams. You’ll grow into them.
