People development is core to our mission – we look for ways to upskill our employees, and in turn supply a more engaged, more productive workforce to our customers. Our training provision has expanded from in-house and accredited training primarily focused on the industrial sectors, to offering funded pre-employment training, apprenticeships, and back-to-work initiatives.
gap personnel group has acquired a share in Kickstart2Employment (K2E), which we work in partnership with to offer pre-employment training, apprenticeships and back-to-work initiatives.
In partnership with K2E, gap personnel group has access to Adult Education Funding for pre-employment training, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and levy funding for apprenticeships (via our own levy pot and possibly through our clients’ pots).
K2E holds an AEB Prime Contract with the Education and Skills Funding Agency and is on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP).
Pre-employment training (PET) programmes are designed to help businesses recruit, train and retain the right people with the right skills so they can be effective in the workplace from day one. K2E has access to Adult Education Budget funding, allowing us to create and deliver nationally accredited pre-employment training. They progress over 80% of those who attend the courses into employment in partnership with gap personnel group.
Gatewen Training Services is a subsidiary of gap personnel group and K2E, offering a wide commercial training portfolio including MHE, fire safety, first aid and food hygiene training. These training courses work well in upskilling workforces and promote safety and best practice onsite.
