Maintenance Engineer
Near Malton
£34k
Commutable from York, Malton, Helmsley, Stillington, Driffield, Scarborough, Thirsk
Shift Pattern after probation
45 hours per week
2-week shift pattern, including alternate Saturday working (alternating early/late shift, e.g. 06:00-15:30, 10:00-19:30)
On-call rota
During probation period (first 6 months), day shift working whilst training (e.g. 07:30-17:00)
The Role
You will be reporting to the Production Manager
·Support the Operations Team to ensure production plan is fully achieved on time and in compliance with internal and external requirements meeting safety, quality, cost delivery and environmental needs.
·Deliver root cause analysis of breakdowns.
·Completion of preventative maintenance to improve asset reliability
·Champion the use of personal isolation in all maintenance activities and keep control of working conditions
·Performing planned maintenance
·Completing machinery repairs
·Carry out safety checks
Skills/Experience
·Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering (preferably combined mechanical and electrical engineering)
·Hands on' practical engineering experience in a mechanical and/or electrical production/manufacturing environment
·Pneumatic and hydraulic experience
·Problem solving and trouble shooting
·Attention to detail
·Team player
·Time management to achieve target outcomes
·Reliable and flexible
·Computer literate
