My client, an expanding electronics company based in Biggleswade, is seeking an experienced Bench/Assembly Technician to join their team.
The Duties of a Bench/Assembly Technician:
·As a Bench/Assembly Technician you will be building mechanical products and assemblies.
·Assembly may involve drilling, tapping, filing and sawing, plus component mounting, panel construction, wiring, identifying and terminating.
·You will assemble, wire and test products to customer drawings/procedures.
·You will complete any other associated administrative tasks, as needed.
·To be considered as a Bench/Assembly Technician you will ideally have experience in an electronics/mechanical assembly role.
·You should be able to read circuit diagrams and follow written procedures, and have a sound knowledge of engineering material and terminology.
·You should be able to solder and crimp to a high standard.
·You should also be able to identify fasteners and build precision mechanisms and sub-assemblies.
In return for your hard work:
·As a Bench/Assembly Technician, you will be earning a competitive hourly rate of £13 (salary of £25,350 based on a 37.5hr week).
·You will be entitled to 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
·You will get a half hour lunch break, along with two 10-minute paid breaks throughout the day.
·The company also provides paid sick leave.
·The hours of work are just 8am-4pm, so you will have a great work-life balance.
