My client is well established and has achieved a good rating from Ofsted and is looking for a confident Residential Support Worker. You will need to support service users and colleagues in the service and further improve and maintain the high standards that are embedded throughout their values and service delivery.

·Salary - £20,000 - £23,000 depending on experience
·Hours - Full time permanent position based on 37.5 hours per week (Days)
·Shifts - Early - 0745 - 1515, Late - 1445 - 1015. Week 1 - 7 on 4 off, Week 2 - 8 on 2 off
·Area - Located near to Westcliff-on-Sea.
Responsibilities - Senior Residential Support Worker
·Assist the management of the home in developing the skills and potential of residential support worker.
·Support the Registered Manager with the effective and efficient running of shifts.
·Work within and ensure effective delivery of the policies and procedures in the home.
·Monitor and maintain administrative requirements, ensuring that the outcome meets the standards set out in children's legislation, and the homes working practices.
·Ensure ongoing assessment of children and young people's needs in day to day practices.
·Oversee, supervise and develop the skills of staff in their daily working practices.
·Promote and actively encourage the delivery of a safe, structured and nurturing environment.
·Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team both within the home and with external agencies.
·Relate to and engage young people who display challenging behaviour.
·Assist young people to identify unsafe, dangerous, harmful and abusive situations, individuals and groups.
·At all times ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the children and young people.
Skills required - Senior Residential Support Worker
·Over the age of 22 years.
·Knowledge of child safeguarding and protection procedures.
·QCF Diploma/NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
·Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and standards.
·Experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker (Preferred not essential).
·An understanding of emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties.
·Basic IT skills and basic computer programmes such as word, Excel and Outlook.
·Full driving licence.
·A commutable distance from Westcliff-on-Sea.
·Competitive salary - Up to £23,000 per annum.
