Engagement Officer - Marketing and Communications

A great and exciting opportunity has just come available for an Engagement Officer - Marketing and Communications based in St Ives Cambridgeshire. You will be responsible for marketing and communicating the work of the healthcare charity, maximising income and support.
The position will include travel around Cambridgeshire and you will be required to attended events and harness the support of the local community. You will be required to work under the direction of the head of fundraising and engagement to develop the strategic direction of marketing and communications to all stakeholders.
My client is well established but is looking for a driven individual to further promote the outstanding work that they provide within the healthcare sector.

·Salary - £13,800 - £15,000 depending on skills and experience.
·Hours - 22.5 hours per week with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
·Area - Based in St Ives Cambridgeshire including travel around Cambridgeshire (travel is paid at 30p per mile).

Responsibilities - Engagement Officer - Marketing and Communications

·To work alongside Senior Managers and other members of the Fundraising and Engagement team in developing the strategic direction of marketing and communications to all stakeholders.
·To support in the planning and implementation of marketing and communications plans and campaigns.
·To create and deliver compelling social media content across multiple channels to increase engagement with the charity in support of the fundraising and communications strategy and charity objectives.
·To co-ordinate and maintain timely response rates to social media engagement, including outside of normal working hours.
·To effectively monitor and report on progress of marketing and communications.
·To produce targeted communications to create and support the charity donor journey and develop efficient processes and systems to implement this.
·To effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders and audiences both internally and externally.
·To support the production of content including photography and video and also creation of public facing documents across digital and print media.
·To attend charity events and activities when required.

Skills required - Engagement Officer - Marketing and Communications

·Educated to A-level or equivalent.
·A proven track record in marketing and communication.
·Experience across a variety of marketing and communications channels, using a variety of tools and media.
·Experience of using social media to successfully engage with audiences.
·Experience of writing, copy and producing material for a variety of audiences.
·Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
