gap professional are currently recruiting a Graduate HR Business Partner for our industry leading client, to be based near Leamington Spa.


This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a growing business, where your development is key and fully supported.


This is a full time, permanent opportunity working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with an hour unpaid for lunch. The salary for this position is £24,000 per annum, free parking is available, and you will be entitled to 25 days holiday plus banks. Other benefits include medicash plan and life assurance.


As the HR Business Partner, you will play an instrumental part in providing customer focussed, pragmatic and comprehensive HR advice. You will support employees and managers with legal requirements, procedures and organisational policies, supporting in the delivery of the HR Business Plan.


The ideal candidate will be CIPD Level 5 qualified with HR operational experience within a generalist role, have the drive and determination to succeed within this position and be continuously dedicated to their individual learning and development. You will have current Employment Law knowledge and keep up to date with legislation changes.


As the HR Business Partner, you will have strong written and verbal communication skills as is it essential that you have the skills to establish professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You will maintain effective and collaborative working relationships throughout the business. It is essential that you can think clearly whilst working efficiently under pressure and can prioritise your workload effectively to ensure that deadlines are met with minimal errors.



Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:


• Provide advice on employee relations issues, supporting line managers with people managements queries in line with existing organisational policy and legal framework
• Recruitment and selection of staff, drafting job analysis documentation, resourcing methods and facilitate assessment centres
• Recruitment agency and other HR service liaison and negotiation
• Manage and update employment policies and procedures, management guidance notes and ensuring that policies and procedures are clearly documented
• Annual salary review process, discussing and agreeing salary changes with people managers
• Conduct exit interviews/questionnaires, and contributes to the analysis on information trends
• Carry out HR induction
• Deliver development workshops in areas of HR best practice, to enhance knowledge and skills within the organisation
• Identify and recommends changes to current systems to ensure high standards of service are maintained
• Undertakes administration for the full life cycle of an employee from recruitment to the end of employment
• Provides HR advisory input into service area projects, change management programmes and working groups as required
• Travels to regional offices in capacity of Graduate HR Business Partner, supporting the recruitment process, induction and all other HR related activities with the aim to sustain positive employee relations
• Assists with the maintenance and development of electronic and manual record systems and undertakes ad hoc administrative duties such as creating paperwork for change of contract terms and meeting notes
• Liaises with the Payroll team to ensure that any staff information that impacts upon payroll is both timely and correct
• Undertakes projects in line with the HR operating plan.


Essential skills and experience:

• Previous first line HR operational experience
• Minimum professional qualification - CIPD level 5 qualified or equivalent
• Flexible, mobile and willing to travel as the business needs dictate
• Approachable with the ability to deal with situations sensitively and maintain confidentiality
• Able to demonstrate clear commitment to achieving high levels of customer service using business partnering approach as a mode of service delivery
• Shows consideration, concern and respect for others and works effectively with them to achieve results, views differences positively and uses them as a source of ideas to improve things, is open and honest about what is going on.
• Proven experience of being able to coach, support and advise managers using a commercial and pragmatic approach
• Successful delivery for projects/initiatives which impact positively on the organisation
