A professional services company based in the heart of York city centre is looking for an experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join their team.
·The role will involve conducting firm wide audits and file reviews to monitor and report on compliance
·Auditing of third party suppliers against their contractual arrangements
·Responsibilities are varied, and alongside auditing will also include providing assistance with GDPR activities, complaints handling, advising internal stakeholders in relation to compliance queries and providing training to the business on a one to one basis or in a small group setting.
There will be fantastic opportunities to get involved in continuous improvement projects and change initiatives, and the successful candidate will also be actively involved in supervising and mentoring other team members.
We are interested to hear from candidates with experience of conducting internal audits within a legal, financial or professional services environment. A good understanding of the regulatory requirements affecting law firms would be a strong advantage, however training can be provided.
