Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:15
Friday 05:45 -13:45
28 days per year including Bank Holidays, pro rata
Supervised by a group leader and as part of a shift team you will Safely manufacture a range of finished products to the correct quality specification, which can include all or a combination of the following processes: Picking, Line feeding, prep bench, assembly, cramp operator, cushioner, take OFF/PPT, drawer box and décor build.
(Operators of the above process MUST have undertaken specific training and be authorised to do so by an approved training co-ordinator)
Duties and accountabilities:
o Plan and organise tooling and equipment in order to operate machinery safety, effectively and efficiently in line with the production plan.
o Work to specification books in order to produce product accurately and to the correct quality standard.
o Read and understand KPI's and their impact on decisions regarding production
o Utilising manual handling equipment
o Responsible for adhering to H&S standards, company quality standards, output of machines and house keeping
o Prioritising production liaising with colleagues/management when required
• Can read English and have a good understanding of spoken English.
• Can count precisely and has accurate inputting skills.
• Excellent levels of concentration and not easily distracted.
• Focused on safety and cares and respects products and people.
• You MUST have a high regard to health and safety of self and colleagues, and to take steps to ensure safety in the work place.
• You MUST be able to undertake responsibilities without supervision and work on your own initiative.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of people.
• MUST be able to complete the full fixed term period
• NVQ level 2 in H&S, Manufacturing Operations SAP and MES compliant would be desirable but not essential
Be enthusiastic and conscientious, with the ability to learn and work as part of a team. Demonstrate good inter-personal, communication and briefing skills, which are essential to the performance of the role. Ensuring quality and H&S standards are adhered to at all times. Be comfortable following instructions from Group Leaders. You must be prepared to work with a range of employees from different countries and cultures. Have the ability to work reasonable additional hours as necessary will be required.

✓ MUST wear Safety shoes and hi vis vest.
✓ DO NOT wear tracksuits, shorts, skirts, dresses or ripped jeans.
✓ Please make sure you clock in and out using the clock machines provided.
✓ Booking holidays, please request a holiday form from your gap personnel representative.
✓ Absence - YOU MUST notify the gap team 2 hours prior to shift start time.
✓ After any period of absence, you must completed a return to work interview. It is your responsibility to ensure your return to work interview is completed in time for you to commence your next shift.
✓ You will be paid a week in arrears directly into your bank account on a Friday weekly.
✓ Payslips will be emailed every Thursday weekly.
