Gap Professional are representing a client who has been providing innovative logistics, e-commerce and supply chain management services since 1988 and due to growth, they have an opportunity for a Customs Entry Clerk based at their location in Chelmsford.

Reporting to the Customs and Administration Supervisor, you will work closely with the Customs and other operational departments on a daily basis to ensure a high level of service to both internal colleagues and clients alike when completing import customs formalities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Customs Entry Clerk

ØComplete day to day customs clearance activities as instructed;
ØAdvise Manager of any areas requiring attention;
ØIdentify any potential problem areas before they have an adverse effect on operations;
ØDevelop constructive relationships with operational staff and clients where appropriate;
ØDeal with all queries quickly and efficiently;
ØCreate and amend ERTS manifests;
ØKeep operational staff fully informed of any holds, exams or other areas which may cause delay to a shipment;
ØGeneral administrative duties for other departments when requested/time permits; and
ØAny other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED Import Coordinator

ØCustoms experience is essential
ØGood Computer Skills
ØStrong Administration and Communication skills

The hours are Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm (35 per week)
