JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Head of IT Programmes, the Business Applications Analyst is responsible for the change, training, usability and ongoing improvements and updates to the various applications in use across the business.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Working with IT Project Managers and users across all business functions in the improvement of processes and applications
·Documentation of process and work flows associated with business applications
·Development of clear and quantified business requirements
·Contribute to the preparation of specifications and design documents for the introduction of new systems and processes
·Working with any 3rd party software vendors and partners to ensure that proposed solutions meet the functional needs of the company
·Development and delivery of training associated with application use
·Implement change positively and introduce new ideas and approaches.
·Ensure ongoing improvements to the user experience of the systems.
·Co-ordinate application updates and creating documentation on new features and functionality
·Track and maintain project and ongoing application costs
·Ensure process and application improvements and changes are delivered with minimum disruption to the business


Additionally, the Business Applications Analyst needs to demonstrate the following capabilities:

·Facilitates communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the organisation
·Ability to analyse and resolve issues, both logical and interpersonal.
·Effective verbal and written communications skills.
·Self-motivator, cooperative, flexible, creative.


Core Competencies:

Practical project and application change skills
Practical experience in business requirements documentation
Experience of working in a similar role within an IS function


Proven skills in:

Finance and systems experience
HR and/ or Payroll systems experience
Planning and organising
Communication


Demonstrated ability to:

Relate to all levels of the user community
Be a team player that supports and co-operates with other team members
Set and manage priorities
