Software Design & Applications Engineer
Our local to Norwich market-leading manufacturing client, is looking for a Software Design & Applications Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for assisting in the development and installation of products through writing code for motion control as well as PLC and PC programming. The role will require you to work Monday to Friday with occasional UK and international travel.

The Duties of the Software Design & Applications Engineer:
• Write control software programs
• Write HMI software and create HMI image data
• Liaise with electrical department in allocating and agreeing I/O identity and other associated elements of machine control
• Programme and verify ATMEL Micro Controllers
• Design risk assessment in compliance with relevant standards
• To become proficient in the use of various PC and PLC programmes
• To visit customer premises when required

Experience required for the Software Design & Applications Engineer:
• You will have previous experience in writing control software programs
• Previous experience with Alan Bradley, ABB and Pack ML would be beneficial
• You will be flexible and willing to occasionally travel within the UK and internationally
• You will have a proactive approach to your work and be task orientated
