Gap Personnel are currently looking for an experienced Farm Worker - Breeder to join one of our clients based in between Bury St Edmunds and Diss.
We are looking for someone who can be reliable and able to provide a great support and knowledge in the process of obtaining top quality fertile hatching eggs.

FULL TIME - working 44 hours over 6 days per week, permanent position.

Your job will include but not be limited to:
• Assist with stock inspections, body weighing, male and female management, nest hygiene, hatching egg management and cold storage;
• Follow daily routines for feeding, water management, litter management and ventilation;
• Monitor flock health by ensuring all vaccinations blood testing, etc are carried out accurately and at the correct time;
• Ensure Health and Safety Policy is adhered to by referring to the Health & Safety, Risk Assessment and COSHH manuals;
• Wear protective clothing (PPE);
• Set up houses prior to intake and prepare for depletions;
• Accurately record measurement data and respond accordingly;
• Ensure maintenance of farms.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Stock management background
• Hands on
• Enthusiastic in nature
• Be prepared to work within farm and hatchery environment
• Flexible, motivated, and good work ethic
• Previous experience of working in an agriculture environment or similar position

Remuneration: A salary of up to £21,162, with excellent career progression opportunities.
