Support Worker – Learning Disabilities

A great and exciting opportunity has just come available for a motivated Support Worker supporting adults with emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties. Do you want to make a difference daily and give support to adults and enable them to live as independently as possible, then look no further! The service is in Heckington, Nr Sleaford

My client is well established, and their services are managed to a high standard and they are looking for Support Workers with the confidence and ability to make a difference. You will need to support service users and colleagues in the service and further improve and maintain the high standards that are embedded throughout their values and service delivery.

Salary – Support Worker salary £20,304.00

Hours – 37.5 hours Full Time

Shifts – Fixed 2-week rota working from 07.30am – 20.00pm, week 1 – 5 shifts, week 2 – 2 shifts.

Area – Heckington, Nr Sleaford.

Responsibilities: - Support Worker

Working with the staff team across all levels to always safeguard young adults.

Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.

Assisting with practical tasks relating to care. For example, cooking and cleaning.

Creating positive relationships with young adults, always maintaining dignity and respect.

Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural, and cultural needs of the young adults.

Continually maintaining the accurate and clear record keeping.

Ensuring that the needs of the young adults are being met.

Skills required - Support Worker

 

A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.

A strong team player

Resilient and confidence to ask for support as needed.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Computer literacy.

A diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to complete this.
