Deputy Residential Manager (Children’s Services)

A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen with one of my clients for an experienced professional, to be appointed to the role of Deputy Manager in their children’s residential home in Mapperley, Nottingham.

As a Deputy Residential Manager (Children’s), you will:

You will be committed to leading from the front in developing relationship-based practice with children.

Supporting the Registered Manager and all Residential Support Workers.

Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.

Hold a full driving licence.

Duties:

Lead and manage a team dedicated to promoting emotional security in children.

Ensure that they have in place the policies, procedures, and practices necessary to safeguard and promote the welfare of our children.

Ensure that all available resources are deployed effectively, efficiently and provide best value for children’s welfare.

Work in collaboration with partner services – therapists and educators, in the interests of children

Always support the Registered Manager.

Be required to deputise in the absence of the Manager.

Provide specific management support, advice and motivation to the staff team to ensure that the people who use their services are supported to achieve their goals.

Be highly flexible in your approach.

To support and manage the home during Ofsted Inspections, either to undertake a proactive approach, oversee the running of the home and support the manager.

To maintain high standards in the home and act as a positive role model.

To safeguard and promote the welfare and development of the young people.
