Accounts Receivable Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our trading, marketing and other head office functions to raise income and billing for promotional activity and rebates due
  • Review payments before they are made to suppliers for risk and take action to protect position 
  • Own and manage a number of large supplier accounts, supporting with internal and external queries 
  • Supporting with task co-ordination across the team 
  • Taking ownership of performance reporting to the business and within the team 
  • Leading on implementation and improvements within our customer query portal 
  • Creating relationships with key stakeholders involved in the teams’ work to improve the customer experience and ensure processes are understood and followed 
  • Initiating and driving process improvements 
  • Supporting with additional requests from management and the wider business

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

  • Previous experience in a Finance/Accounts Team or able to demonstrate solid track record in similar process environment 
  • Strong excel and analytical skills 
  • Enthusiasm, commitment and drive to succeed 
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels; developing strong working relationships 
  • Excellent attention to detail and getting things right first time 
  • Resilient and tenacious with a can do attitude 
  • Flexible approach 
  • A desire to challenge processes and identify control and operational improvements
