Job Type: Permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Friday – 40hrs
Salary: £18,500 - £19,500
The primary focus of this role is to provide effective delivery of the administrative function for all operational, compliance, health and safety, and other site activities. Assist with any other administrative duties including financial and other general business associated with the Companies activities.
As such, you will need to have experience of working in a similar role, be comfortable working with a variety of data, a great attention to detail and an ability to work to deadlines. You will also be able to confidently communicate with internal and external customers.
Help, develop, implement and monitor administrative processes to ensure the efficiency and quality of service delivery.
Provide advice and information to suppliers, customers and staff as required.
Collate and input information onto database/spreadsheets as required.
Recording of Employee’s working hours, sickness and holidays, working closely with Site Management Team to ensure sufficient and adequate cover in all areas, which will include ongoing liaison with employment agencies.
Answer the telephone and look after visitors and contractors, provide site inductions for visitors and contractors as appropriate.
Maintain records, produce accurate documentation, regular statistical information and management reports.
Process purchase orders, invoices and credit notes as required in conjunction with the accounts department.
Weighbridge Operation and cover, weighing in and out of vehicles ensuring compliance with Site Permits/Exemptions and other relevant legislation.
Take notes at meetings producing an accurate record.
Be aware of and follow the Company’s policies and procedures, with particular attention to standards of customer service, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
Understand the operation of the Company’s sites and provide administrative support as required.
Work with the Manager to ensure administrative compliance of all operations in accordance with all permits, licences, insurance terms and conditions, Health & Safety regulations and other regulations applicable to such operations.
Qualifications and Knowledge
Education to CSE, GCSE, NVQ or GNVQ standard
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular, Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience of Waste Management/Recycling or Similar Operations (Desirable)
Knowledge of environmental compliance issues (Desirable)
Engineering and/or scientific understanding (Desirable)
