Gap professional are operating as an employment agency on behalf of its client, a reputable based company who are looking for a Area Cleaning Manager

 

Job Type: Permanent
Location:  Newport
Hours of work: Monday to Friday – 37hrs (Standard hours but do require flexibility)
Salary: £23,863pa

 

Summary:

 

To manage all aspects of allocated caretaking and cleaning operations throughout the allocated area as directed, to include quality performance, financial and operational targets and to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, area and site based staff.

 

 

Responsibilities:

To undertake direct line management responsibility for sites allocated within the Area as directed by the Facilities Manager.

These duties are likely to include:

To arrange the provision of sickness, holiday and vacancy cover for site based staff in an efficient and cost effective manner.
To be accountable for the cleaning budget for the allocated contract area and to manage the allocated cleaning area to achieve the financial targets as set by senior management.
To arrange the completion of all quality management documentation, including quality checks and satisfaction certificates and to ensure the results are available to Senior management as required.
To provide quotations for and to arrange additional and special cleans as required.
To maintain regular customer contact to ensure customer satisfaction and to deal with service issues as they may occur in an effective and timely manner.
To undertake recruitment and induction training as necessary.
To complete all administration required to successfully manage the allocated area including timesheets and new starter documentation.
The maintenance of sickness and annual leave records.
Where necessary to organise and implement remedial and periodic cleaning programmes.
To ensure cleaning orders are processed and to maintain adequate stocks of materials and equipment.
To attend regular monthly management meetings and any other management meetings as may be required.

To directly support and manage the allocated Supervisor/s and mobile cleaner/s within the area of responsibility.
To comply with and to arrange compliance by site based and mobile staff of all relevant Health & safety legislation and to conform to Health & safety policies and procedures.
Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported through the correct procedures.
To resolve site based staff disciplinary and grievance issues as required.
To actively participate in identifying business development opportunities.
To undertake any such project work as may be required and to assist in the production of tender information as necessary.

Any other duties that may be considered of a similar nature.

 

 

Qualifications

Cleaning Manager experience (essential)
Excellent communication
Good customer service skills
Full UK Driving License
