gap professional are acting as an employment agency to recruit for our global client based in Calcot, Reading for Car Park Maintenance Supervisor for their busy site on a permanent basis. They are a global leader in the supply of customers shopping trolleys and shop fitting solutions.

 

The working hours are varied and the store is open 7 days per week so you need to be flexible to work shifts across the weekend – 40 hours per week.


Our client offers fantastic on site facilities with free parking and subsidised canteen.

 

Pay rate £10.42 per hour (£21673 per annum)

 

As part of the Car Park Management Team you will be required to oversee the collection of abandoned trolleys and ensure that they are quickly returned to customer pick-up points in a good clean condition. Other responsibilities include:

 

To assist in the timely and effective completion of all reasonable requests made by your immediate Regional Manager.
Onsite cleaning duties, ensuring the site is always in a clean and presentable condition, this includes litter picking in and around the site and ensuring flower beds, car parking spaces and customer facing areas are free from litter and rubbish.
Responsible for operational performance with regard to staff under your control, your team can vary in size during busy periods but would normally be 2-5 per shift.
Supervise the team under your control ensuring adherence to the company’s HR policies, health and safety policies and procedures inclusive of all applicable Safe systems of work.
Motivate, train and develop a flexible team that will provide the highest standard of service to our customer minimising and non-productive time.
Ensuring all customer requirements are fulfilled whilst maximising efficiency of the labour resources provided, you will be in control of managing the rota ensuring all shifts are covered.
Undertake the accurate recording and timely referral of timesheets to the head office.
Dealing with customers including customer complaints referring this to your direct line manager.
To carry out general maintenance, inspection, cleaning and repairs to the trolley fleet on site.

 

The ideal candidate:

Have experience of managing a small team.
Have strong communication skills
Be reliable, conscientious and punctual
Have basic understanding of technology systems
Previous experience within HR/Employment Law would be advantageous.
