gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for CNC Operators / Setters / Programmers based in Crewkerne for a well-known manufacturing company on a permanent contract.

You will be setting, operating, and programming CNC Machines in the Manifold Production area following all health and safety guidelines.


  • Creating and following work orders (routing) instructions
  • Creating and following tooling, set up sheets and CNC programs to set CNC machines to machine components within the required tolerances and specific setting times
  • Undertake deburring
  • Change inserts and drills when appropriate
  • Recording output and scrap accurately on the OEE sheet
  • Inspection of components using inspection equipment record on the gauge check sheet
  • Ensuring tooling sheets and programs are kept up to date
  • Train operators and semi-skilled setters
  • Set and operate machinery in different areas

About you:

  • Experience operating / setting / programming of CNC machines
  • Verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Flexibility to work alone or within a team


  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with service to 30 days + bank holidays

  • Up to £25,765 depending on experience
  • Shift allowance of 25% applies if working lates or alternate shifts
  • Shifts will be determined by the line manager depending on the business needs
