Electrical Maintenance Engineer

£37,500 Per Annum + Benefits

2x Shift (Earlies/Lates)

gap technical are proud to be representing this national business in their search for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Liverpool

Performance Objectives

  • Carrying out effective electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair on machinery and services
  • Ensuring machinery and services are maintained to meet individual department's requirements
  • Conducting appropriate checks on machinery/equipment
  • Operating machinery and equipment only when trained, including start-ups, shut downs and maintaining operations at the agreed level, maximising productivity
  • To communicate effectively and accurately any information about stock requirements and usage to the Engineering Stores Person
  • Compilation of any reports in relation to work undertaken including but not limited to: Fault Repairs, PPM, Overtime, Lost Time Reports, Breakdown Reports and expenditure
  • Ensure that all machinery and equipment is used of a safe standard, and any malfunctions/missing components are immediately reported
  • To take personal responsibility for their own and others safety through safe working practices

Person Specification

  • Time served Electrical engineer
  • Previous experience of manufacturing or processing industry; and major plant and equipment would be an advantage
  • Proven track record of problem solving
  • Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance systems (Shire)
  • Exposure to Dynamic risk assessments
  • Good communications skills
