My client based in Wrexham are an  international Manufacturer and Supplier of Technical Products. They offer a portfolio of well over 10,000 different Products, Components and Parts, made of a Variety of engineered materials. They are used in a wide Range of Applications. Their customers include the Automotive Industry, Electronics and Medical Industries

 

Due to a reorganisation, they are looking for a Part Time Environmental Operator

 

Overview

To control and administer all waste streams on site, monitoring, recording, reporting, and liaison with the waste disposal service provider. Must also ensure a safe, tidy, and clean working site environment.

 

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Weigh and log all waste drums.
  • Sort, log and pack & prepare for transport all waste items in the Triage area (Incl. empty containers.
  • Send details of waste to the waste company to quote for collection.
  • Book the transport for the waste.
  • Load the waste onto the vehicle.
  • Pass all paperwork to the HSEQ Dept. All electric copies to be saved on the G drive.
  • Organize wood skip being emptied.
  • Ensure all communal drums are removed and replaced once full.
  • Arrange collection of metal waste skip.
  • Arrange collection and loading of silvered waste for reclaim
  • Exchange full Acubins off the shop floor and replace with empties
  • Liaise with the waste provider to collect the full Acubins
  • Maintain forklift to required standard – Daily checks
  • To manage and control movements of stock between locations

 

Skills and Attributes

  • A Self-starter, motivated, candidate who can prioritise workload and work alone safely and with a team. 
  • Must be detailed oriented and takes pride in their work.
  • Happy working indoors and outdoors. 
  • Willingness to learn / develop within the company. Able to work under pressure
  • An understanding of data entry on computer system.
  • Experience of working within a quality conscious environment.
  • Forklift driving (essential)
  • Working in a warehouse or comparable area

Hours will be 4 hours a day 5 days a week, flexible with the start time.
