Our client based in the Chester area are currently looking to recruit an Export Customer Service Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. As a member of the customer service department: To work in a small team to manage customer orders, arrange deliveries and liaise with logistics providers and internal departments to deliver market leading service to customers. Particular focus on export administration, ensuring all aspects of export requirements are met, from both customer and authority point of view. Work alongside the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide forecast information to the business.
Pay & Hours of Work
Full time - Minimum 37 ½ hours per week Monday to Friday on a flexible rota ensuring office cover to meet customer demands (excludes 1-hour lunch break)
Participation in an ‘On-call’ rota to provide out of hours contact for customers and subcontractors.
£23k per annum
Co-ordinate with export customers to ensure full brief on their requirements, correct documentation is agreed and can be achieved.
Handle and prepare all international documentation; invoices, commercial invoices, certs of origin, company export documentation.
Liaise with DEFRA & local Veterinary officers to acquire Health certification.
Maintain dependable records of exports, ensuring consistent approach as is practicable to every consignment.
Receipt, acknowledgement and entry of customer orders into the business.
Work closely with and provide support to the Sales Team providing feedback on customer issues and forecasting data.
Liaise with production planning teams on customer demands, product stock levels and forecasts to ensure the optimum production and stock objectives are met
Co-ordinate quality issues/ requirements are met with the Technical team
Maintain any planning spreadsheets that may be required to manage transactions and provide essential management information.
Ensure high level of service to customers is maintained in the most cost effect manner
Co-operate with the Sales Team regarding payment queries, to resolve problems, disputes and proof of delivery queries whilst maintaining a positive relationship with the customer
Ensure customer relationships are managed professionally with the objectives of retention and growth.
Maintain, develop and promote a positive corporate image and reputation with customers.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with logistics providers to achieve efficient and cost-effective delivery of product.
To work closely with your fellow Customer Service team members to ensure a cohesive approach to the department’s responsibilities
To manage and plan your duties to achieve agreed objectives. Feedback relevant commercial information relating to customers in an efficient way.
Escalate issues as required, effectively communicate to the department and the rest of the business as required.
Contribute to the development of effective planning systems through sales forecasting and monitoring of customer demand.
To work in a professional manner at all times and comply with the company’s policy and procedures.
Ideally educated to A level or equivalent as well as evidence of export training, along with experience of Export administration role, preferably in the Food Industry.
