Gap personnel, acting as an employment business, are partnering with a privately owned, independent business who have seen huge periods of exciting growth.
As they grow, they are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking order picker to work in our busy timber yard near Ross-on-Wye. Duties include picking timber and fencing orders ready for delivery / collection, loading customers vehicles, as well as general forklift and yard duties. There will also be some customer interaction in this role.
You will be using a counterbalance forklift and a current counterbalance forklift licence is a requirement for this role. You must also be comfortable reading quantities and dimensions on order sheets, as well as using a tape measure accurately.

Performance will be judged on:
- Safe and efficient working practises.
- Accurate use of picking notes to ensure customer gets exactly what has been ordered.
- Manner with which customers are dealt and customer feedback.
- Speed of customer and order turnaround.
This is a physical role and will suit someone used to manual handling of products when picking as well as the use of a forklift.
Working hours are: 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 12pm. Time and half paid for any hours worked over the first 39.
Pay rate: £9.60
Annual leave entitlement is 20 days per annum plus statutory days during the first year of service, 21 days during the second year and 22 days from the third year onwards.
