gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for a Goods in Operative.

Our client is a well-established family run business, who pride themselves on finding the best fit for the team, where you will have the opportunity to undertake great training and continue learning and gaining new skills and knowledge every day.

Your role will be primarly working in the goods in department, so you'll need to be enthusatic, active, reliable and keen to continue learning.

You will be working in a big team, unloading big deliveries on a day to day basis, sorting through goods, booking them in and making sure they are in the correct location within the warehouse. 
You will also be working within assembly, using small hand power tools, so you need to flexible. 

Goods In Warehouse experience would be an advantage, but this is not essential as full training will be given. 

Shifts are: Monday - Friday - 08.00am-16.30pm shift whilst training and then move to the 09.30am-18.00pm shift once trained.

This is a temp - perm position with an immediate start.

£9.50 per hour.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have goods in/warehouse experiance
  • Be able to work in a fast paced enviornment
  • Have basic maths skills
  • Be able to input information on to a computer (basic use)
  • Have good communication skills
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Be proactive, with a can-do attitude
  • Have strong team work skills
