Health and Safety Advisor

£40k-£45k per annum  

Monday - Friday / Days   


Our client based on the Wrexham Industrial Estate are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor.  Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for supporting with the below duties.

Performance Objectives

  • Ensure Company compliance with safety and environmental statutory requirements.
  • Facilitate improvements in safety and environmental performance, behaviour and culture.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with our Management System and Environmental 14001 standard.
  • Manage safety and environmental investigation processes.
  • Provide professional advice and support to Line Managers and Employees.
  • Help develop and implement best practice.
  • Conduct training, as required.
  • Support the promotion of wellbeing initiatives.

Person Specification

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including influencing.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Able to work collaboratively and flexibly with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Open to training and development opportunities which will be provided and supported.
  • A keen safety and environmental professional with NEBOSH/IOSH qualification or prepared to work towards these qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 standard.
  • Our client is an ISO 9001 site, so experience in this area would be advantageous.
