HR Administrator

Gap personnel acting as an employment business are currently recruiting for a HR administrator for our client based in Chippenham for a temporary contract due to last 3 months.


Pay rate: £9 per hour

Working hours 40 per week 0830-1700 (half hour lunch)


General administrative duties to include:

  • Assisting the HR Administrator with the recruitment process, including updating of the company intranet with job advertisements, liaison with recruitment agencies to arrange interviews, scanning and saving of CV’s, booking of meeting rooms and sending of meeting requests to appropriate managers
  • Assisting with the preparation of new starter packs, including contracts of employment and offer letters
  • Working with the HR Manager and HR Administrator to ensure full compliance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) regarding employee records; including maintaining and updating our global HR system (Workday), reviewing personnel files and shredding / archiving where appropriate, filing in both electronic and paper based filing systems and re-formatting personnel files, where required
  • Responding to requests for training material and liaison with existing training providers
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks, as required by the business


Person Specification:


  • An understanding of working within a fast pace HR department ideally with HR administration experience
  • Excellent administrative skills with good levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Friendly and professional manner and confident when working and communicating with people at all levels
  • Adaptable and able to respond positively to a changing and fast paced environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Able to establish and maintain positive relationships at all levels
  • Committed to working as part of a team and proactively supporting colleagues
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with knowledge of mail merging an advantage
