Location: Bodmin, PL31

Job Role:  Lairage Operative

Hours: Monday to Friday 7am to finish (usually 8h work)

Hourly Salary: £10.50ph- increasing with experience

Role Type: Temporary ongoing

gap personnel acting as an employment agency are currently recruiting for 2x Lairage Operatives for Irish well know food company. The company we are working in partnership with is growing year on year and currently expanding across all departments.

Job Responsibilities as Lairage Operative:

• Ensuring Animal Welfare and legislation is always adhered to 
• Passport verification checks
• Animal suitability checks
• Unloading Cattle
• Cleaning out pens and ensuring good housekeeping
• Outcome verifications
• Bedding up and feeding cattle.
• Reporting any issues to the Slaughter Hall Manager
• Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
• Electrically stunning cattle using a Jarvis Stun box
• Using Captive bolt to slaughter cattle

• Knowledge of similar working environment
• Good communicator and team player
• Proven accuracy and efficiency in your work
• Consistently produce the highest standards of work
