Our client based in Llay, Wrexham is currently looking for a number of Machine Operators to join their team on a permanent basis.
Duties to include;
- Ensuring all guards are in position and observe all H & S aspects whilst operating the machine.
- Ensuring the machine is clean maintained and free of tools.
- Ensuring area under the machine is always kept clean.
- Responsible for all mechanical and quality aspects and checks related to applying glue to a bag
- Responsible for all mechanical and quality aspects related to bag handles
- Carry out a series of mechanical set up machine adjustments according to product size
- Carry out all printing of bags in relation to the samples and proof.
- Responsible for checking product at 15-minute intervals to ensure bag has sufficient glue, is formed correctly, is according to specification and is fit for use
- Ensuring the machine is clean maintained and free of tools.
- Responsible for completely carrying out all quality checks on product quality records every hour ensuring manufacture is as per specification.
- Run machines at the speeds they are capable of and make production targets
- Operate to Production Targets and produce set targets on all shifts and complete production records on time
- Willingness to act in roles such as Planning Coordinator, Fire Marshall, First Aid, Covid Officer (training provided)
Successful candidates;
- Mechanical engineering Diploma qualification or ITI or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and proven ability
- Must have 2 years’ experience minimum running Paper Bag mechanical machinery
- Experience in a fast paced, quality focussed production environment.
- Able to work as part of a production team with colleagues and assist if required.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-moving environment to standards and standard manufacturer set machine speeds.
- Excellent time keeping with excellent internal customer focus and support.
- Committed to Health & Safety and hygiene standards.
- Fluent in English
- Team player with an open and friendly personality with a can-do attitude.
- Able to problem solve mechanical issues
- Working to tight production and change-over deadlines
- Able to work methodically and achieve production KPIs
- Probation period of 6 months
.

Monday to Friday – shift patterns
