The applicant will need to be an experienced engineer within a warehouse or industrial environment, a strong leader of people supporting a positive and value driven culture, with the ability to work shifts.
Accountable for leading the engineering team in support of operational activities.
Accountable for delivering daily, weekly, monthly engineering targets scheduled through CMMS. Must be responsive to emergent, priority work to maintain the operational output of the warehouse.
Responsible for managing, coaching and developing the team members who are driven to deliver high engineering standards and become experts in the field of maintenance and engineering. The role holder is also responsible for ensuring the engineering team is fully compliant with legislation and relevant engineering standards.
You will role model a culture of continuous development and through on-going coaching and 1 to 1 discussions, support your team members to maximise their individual potentials.
You must have supervisory experience within an engineering and maintenance environment. The ideal candidate will have experience of mechanical automation, pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical installation as well as demonstrating a good understanding of warehouse/industrial operations.
A natural ability to lead teams and a flexible approach will be needed with the ability to work as a team to support operational goals.
