gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently looking for an Maintenance Engineer to join a busy team in a well-established client based in Porth.

As an innovative and well-established South Wales manufacturer we are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer on a day shift pattern. This company and has undergone a sustained period of investment and growth. The role is varied, and you will be tasked with maintaining machinery and ensuring minimal downtime and consistency of the production processes.

Skills required for a Maintenance Engineer:

Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment as a Maintenance Engineer
Engineering Qualification
The Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:

Working as a Maintenance Engineer within a state-of-the-art factory
Working Monday- Friday Days only - £12 per hour
Responsibilities

As a maintenance engineer, you'll need to:

design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
diagnose breakdown problems
fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
carry out quality inspections on jobs
liaise with client departments,  and production colleagues
arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
monitor and control maintenance costs
deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
improve health and safety policies and procedures
work with specialist equipment lines
write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
ensure there is cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
