Material Machine Operators with FLT Experience - Llay (Will take expired licenses)

Our client based in Llay, Wrexham are currently looking for Material Machine Operators with an FLT Counterbalance license or expired license to join their team on an ongoing basis.


Duties to include;

  • Being responsible for operational management of pulverising and blending of plastics to acceptable and defined quality standards and output criteria
  • Facilitate in the production of material to different specifications and build requirements
  • Must adhere to work instructions and operator procedures
  • Ability to identify issues and be involved in basic preventative maintenance
  • Assisting in the continuous improvement process
  • Must perform general housekeeping duties, internally and externally on site
  • Should be comfortable standing for long periods of time
  • Should be comfortable working in a dusty environment
  • Have good manual dexterity and an eye for detail
  • When necessary, provide cover for manufacturing machine operations during breaks/sickness or as additional resources when required.

Successful candidates;

  • Experience of working in a high volume production environment is beneficial
  • FLT license with minimum 12 months FLT experience beneficial 
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail essential
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods, desirable although full training will be given
  • Experience of working in a similar manufacturing environment desirable with a Quality and H&S mind-set
  • Motivated and flexible with good communication skills 
  • Must be able to work weekends as and when required

Working Hours;

Monday to Thursday - 12 hour rotational shifts of 6am -6pm/6pm– 6am 


Pay Rate:

£10.49 per hour for the first 37.5 hours worked each week plus £13.95 per hour for the guaranteed overtime of 6.5 hours worked each week*

*(As you work a 44 hour week, it is broken down 37.5 hours basic and 6.5 hours at time and a third each week)

Total of £484 per week
