Gap personnel acting as an employment agency are recruiting for an Office Manager for our client based in Swindon. They are a small bespoke furniture making business who have this new role available where they are looking for someone the run the office autonomously.


Sociable working hours:

Monday-Thursday 0730-1730, Friday will have an early finish. (39 per week, 30 min lunch)


Salary on offer:

Negotiable depending on experience up to £30,000 per annum. 


The role:

This position will cover various areas of the business and our client is looking for someone who is confident and experienced with managing an office.

  • Timesheet collation to submit to payroll using clocking machine reports
  • Basic HR queries
  • Raise and progress project purchase orders
  • Maintain stationary and consumable stocks/orders
  • Process invoices through Sage 50
  • Update project status trackers
  • Raise RFQ’s on access database
  • Chase up quotes
  • Process new orders
  • Liaising with external customers on any queries and orders
  • Arrange collection and deliveries
  • Receive, sort and distribute post
  • Run month end reports


The ideal candidate:

  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be self-motivated and able to use your own initiative and plan workload
  • Be comfortable using all MS office packages – experience using sage 50 and access would be desirable
  • Trained first aider, fire marshal and/or H&S representative would also be desirable.
  • Have experience within a similar position ideally within the manufacturing industry
  • Be available to interview and start ASAP
  • This role is temporary with the view to go permanent for the right candidate
