As an Operations Technician, you will be reporting to the Group Leader/Supervisor. You will be working as part of the Operations Team with the responsibility to carry out the routine manufacture and quality control of a range of products.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Operate production equipment and carry out manual operations according to procedures.
• Carry out routine quality control tests
• Ensure all health & Safety requirements are adhered to in the working environment
• Add operational data to SPC control systems, understanding the importance of maintaining such systems
• Maintain control charts for trend analysis 
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Reporting any issues to the supervisor on site
• Perform any other work-related duties that are assigned
• Participate in the set-up of new production procedures and areas.


Additional Duties:
• Assist in the training of new starters
• Undertake projects tasks if requested
• Deputising for senior team members when required

Minimum Experience/Education: 
• Minimum of 5 GCSE’s
• Production Line or Laboratory work experience is desirable.
• Experience of using Microsoft Office (including excel)
• HNC/HND certification in Engineering/Mechanical/Manufacturing fields is desirable.

Additional Information:
• Protective equipment required: safety shoes, eyewear, gloves, ear protection, respirator
• Working around moving machinery


Contract: 1 year contract, which can become permanent contract for the right candidate.
Start date: ASAP, Interviews are being held.
Shifts: 4 on, 4 off. 12-hour shifts (2 days, 2 nights) 
Salary: £9.27-£12.60 per hour (dependant on shift)

Over time: Monday-Friday 1.5 x hourly rate, Saturday/Sunday 1.75 hourly rate, Public Holiday 2 x hourly rate
