THE ROLE

We are currently supporting them in recruiting for a number of Packers to join their team to help support our growing business. You will be packing products off a number of high-speed machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment as well as ensuring regular visual quality checks are undertaken.

Working as part of a larger team you will also be labelling product, clearing jams and loading reels, whilst ensuring Health & Safety standards.

Duties:

• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is preferable, ideally within a faced paced environment in a Packing capacity.
• Strong communication
• Dependable and have a reliable mode of transport to commute to work
• Teamwork
• Able to operate in a sometimes-pressurised environment working to deadlines
• To pack product in line with Company standards including BRC Global Standards for packaging
• To ensure all product is labeled correctly
• To act as a role model for quality standards and ensure this is applied through daily activities
• Ensure that housekeeping standards are achieved and maintained at all times to 5S standard
• Maintain effective and appropriate communication with your colleagues at all times
• To keep the Shift Supervisor informed of any problems encountered with Production processes and/or equipment

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor this role with involve working a 4 on/4 off shift pattern (2 days 6am to 6pm/2 nights 6pm to 6am).
