About us:

Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) have exciting opportunities for Packing Operatives to join a well-established company who specialise in manufacturing savoury products and ready meals. Our clients business is growing and as a result, we are now seeking new talent to join their manufacturing teams. The environment is busy and fast paced.

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent 

Business Area: Food Production/Manufacturing

Location: Llantrisant

Salary: £8.90ph and £9.41ph

Shifts: Nights

Hours of Work: 20:30-0500 or 22.00-06.30

About You:

The successful candidate will be responsible for packing products into boxes, stacking pallets, moving pallets while maintaining health and safety standards and ensuring product quality.

You will spend most of your working day standing, and the work often involves bending, lifting, carrying and loading.

You will be responsible for taking the finished product of the manufacturing process and ensuring that it is packaged in line with company and industry standards, making it ready for sale or distribution

Other duties will include cleaning packaging materials, loading items into containers, and weighing and labelling the items appropriately. You will also perform final checks for defective items, ensure all working items make it to the loading area, and keep detailed records of materials and shipments.

Experience: Food manufacturing experience would be preferably, but not essential. (Full training provided.)
