JOB TITLE: Packing Operative
Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) have exciting opportunities for 20 Packing Operatives to join a well-established company who specialise in manufacturing savoury products and ready meals. Our clients business is growing and as a result, we are now seeking new talent to join their manufacturing teams. The environment is busy and fast paced.
Contract Type: Temporary
Business Area: Food Production/Manufacturing
Salary: £8.90ph and £9.41ph
Various Shifts: Nights
Hours of Work: 20:30-0500

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with good team working skills and a ‘can do’ attitude. You will be able to follow instructions effectively and work on your own initiative with good communication skills.
You will spend most of your working day standing, and the work often involves bending, lifting, carrying and loading.
You will be responsible for taking the finished product of the manufacturing process and ensuring that it is packaged in line with company and industry standards, making it ready for sale or distribution
Other duties will inculde cleaning packaging materials, loading items into containers, and weighing and labeling the items appropriately. You will also perform final checks for defective items, ensure all working items make it to the loading area, and keep detailed records of materials and shipments.
Experience: Food manufacturing experience would be preferably, but not essential. (Full training provided.)
