Our client who is a well-known hotel based in Wrexham are currently looking for a Meeting & Events Sales Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

 

Duties to include;

  • To manage the operations of the meetings and events department
  • Convert all meeting and event enquiries into bookings on the phone, in person, by letter or email
  • Process all contracts and record all enquiries
  • Take and process all conference enquiries
  • Maintain and increase business from existing reservation clients by an effective follow up system
  • Ensure all rates match the business needs
  • Check historical users from previous bookings, make contact to provide sales leads and convert 
  • Manage and lead the team with upcoming events through marketing, booking processes and payments
  • To identify on a weekly basis from local press advertising those companies who may have business for the hotel
  • To actively seek all opportunities to increase meetings and events sales
  • Calling potential sales leads to generate bookings
  • Check all written correspondence to check special requirements and pass to the relevant departments 
  • Ensure all conference files are up to date
  • To manage all sales activity
  • Meet and greet clients
  • To liaise with Revenue Manager on a regular basis
  • Prepare reports and forecasting weekly and quarterly

 

Successful candidates;

  • Experience of working in events is essential
  • Must be able to work with software such as Word and Excel
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Must be able to promote the hotel, products, and services
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of product and service knowledge 
  • Will have strong communication skills internally and externally
  • Must be well organised and approachable
  • Must have good time keeping and attendance record
  • Must be able to commit to the overall goals and objectives of the hotel in relation to sales, costs, and teamwork
  • Must be always presentable and smart
  • Must be flexible
  • Must be able to attend meetings and training courses arranged by the company 

 

Working Hours;

Full time - Average of 40 hours per week (Must be able to commit to Monday - Sunday working)

 

Pay Rate:

Salary £24 - £26k depending on experience
