Our client is a specialist manufacturer in the Aerospace industry.  Due to their continued success with new business and the growth in the commercial aerospace sector, an opportunity exists for a talented individual to join the planning team. In this role you will be expected to support the planners administratively with the main focus of supporting the shop floor with launching work orders.

 

This is a key role within the planning team as this supports production & Planning with the launching of job cards, working closely with production planner and material planner to make sure the correct work is launched in the correct lead-times.

Main Duties, Objectives and Responsibilities:

Administrative Support for planning manager
Raising Job Cards
Creating Nests for utilisation of material
Works order loading
Liaising with Materials Planning
Liaising with stores
Actively using Sigma Nest and improving yield of material
Supporting a 3-month work Leadtime for manufacture
Troubleshooting

Experience/Skills required:

Experience of working across different business units; engineering/ planning
Ability to take leadership
Experience in a customer support role
Good numerical ability – ideally a maths qualification or similar
Comfortable and experienced in communicating via telephone and email
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
Planning and prioritising to meet tight deadlines
Experience in similar manufacturing industry desirable
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients, suppliers, immediate team members and other production teams
IT proficiency with the ability to input and retrieve data
Good time management and organisational skills.
Knowledge of contract law is desirable

Training & Education:   

A-C GCSE Level or equivalent in English and Maths
Health & Safety and First Aid desirable

 

Hours:

Mon – Thu, 8:00am – 4.45pm & Fri, 8:00am – 12:30pm

(Flexibility to work additional hours when required)
