About us: Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) have exciting opportunities for 2 Press Brake Operatives to join a well-established company who specialise in manufacturing office furniture. Our clients business is growing and as a result, we are now seeking new talent to join their team. The environment is busy and fast paced.
Contract Type: Temporary to Perm
Business Area: Manufacturing
Salary: £9.84 will increase by 7.5% after 6pm.
Shifts: Monday to Thursday- 2:30pm-11pm and on a Friday 1pm-8pm.
Skills/Duties: Daily work duties for press brake operators vary based on the manufacturing projects they work on and the various metals they use to make items.
Use the press brake machine to shape multiple types of metal, primarily sheet metal. Load pieces of metal into the machine for shaping or straightening, aligning and positioning the material to achieve specific shapes.
Set up and maintain the press brake machine to keep it in good working order. This includes changing the machine’s oil and filters and degreasing various parts of the press brake.
Read and follow detailed blueprints and schematics.
Follow company, state, and federal safety regulations. This includes wearing proper protective equipment and keeping their work areas clean and well organized.
