Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for Production Team Leaders, based in Exeter, Devon.

We are looking for candidates with drive, enthusiasm and great attitude to join an evolving, growing family run business, that are looking for long term permanent opportunity with great benefits including internal progression and job security.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with previous experience in a metal/industrial environment, however full training and induction will be given.

As a team leader, you will be responsible for your team working in your cell department and maintaining a team led environment.

You will need to ensure daily KPI targets are met and you are motivating and driving your team to exceed targets that are set, providing support at all times.

You will be working very closely with the production manager and driving improvement and maximising productivity in an efficient manner and utilising your team’s skill set. Reporting any plant failures and breakdown.

You will be working with/around hazardous chemicals and materials, so it is imperative you are aware of your surroundings and understand how important procedures and rules are followed always.

An engineering background/experience is desirable. 

Hours: Monday – Friday, various shifts available

Pay Rate: £9 per hour

The ideal candidate:

  • Must have dexterity and good attention to detail
  • Be able to work through the production process, organising and prioritising the work load
  • Able to work with small parts, good eyesight needed
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar industry
  • Familiar with NADCAP/ISO9100 or aerospace standards
  • Able to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Able to use the MS office suite of products
