Location: Crewkerne, Somerset
Assignment: 6-month FTC with possibility to be extended to permanent contract
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am – 16:30pm & Friday 08:00am – 13:00pm    
Pay:  £40,000 - £45,000 pro rata

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer based in Crewkerne for our well-known manufacturing client to support the continual improvement of the business management systems and processes within the value stream and across the entire product lifecycle to support sustainable profit growth.

Duties as Quality Engineer:

  • Coordinate and report on all problem-solving activities for customers, suppliers, and internal issues
  • Carrying out audits of business management systems to ensure continued performance and improvements to business standards
  • Planning and supporting activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes and products
  • Ensuring health and safety guidelines are always followed, including making sure all relevant PPE is always worn
  • Driving performance measures to effectively evaluate organisational performance and trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction and the cost of poor quality
  • Ensuring a safe and clean working environment
  • Supporting flexibility of employees

  • Able to demonstrate experience in core quality tools and techniques
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong understanding of quality statistical models and metrics
