Our successful, worldwide client are looking to expand their Quality Department and are recruiting a Quality Manager – this is an exciting opportunity for the right person who is looking for their next challenge!

gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are proud to be representing our client based in Chester. We’re currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join their team immediately on a 6-month contract.

Pay & Hours of Work

  • Mon – Fri (Days – 37.5 hours per week)
  • Up to £32,000 per annum

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage stock movement (hold/release) and the management of rework
  • Closely work with Ops and CI manager to drive quality improvement
  • To complete procedural audits in line with the schedule, to define corrective actions and to follow up the close out of actions
  • Drive/support quality aspects in the site projects (Back to Basics, Masterplan, Infinity)
  • Assist in the close out of non-conformances where required
  • Support RCA completion
  • Manage CAPA – monthly meetings, trending, validation
  • Complete the bi-annual recall exercise and to complete traceability audits according to the schedule
  • Maintain knowledge of QA and DMS systems
  • Manage and support Quality Controller
  • Manage and communicate effectively with customers, providing excellent levels of service

 

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of FSSC/BRC requirements essential
  • Minimum of Food Safety Level 2
  • Experience in managing Quality Database Systems and conducting Internal Audits
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles or HACCP Level 3
  • Able to assess a situation and make decisions
  • A flexible individual
  • Excellent communication skills required at all levels (verbal and written)
  • Passionate, driven and pro-actively manage daily duties and own diary
