gap professional are operating as an employment agency on behalf of its client, a reputable based company who are looking for Recruitment Consultants ideally with Healthcare or Financial Services background on a permanent basis.

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Cheltenham
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm
Salary: £25-30K p.a. Commission Scheme (up to 25%) paid monthly on an uncapped basis.

We are seeking a motivated and driven individual to join our client. Due to continued growth they require a Consultant to handle their permanent recruitment across the business.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Networking of candidates and clients with a strategic approach
  • Business Development and new and existing clients
  • New Business development including cold & warm calls, territory mapping
  • Managing a sales database to ensure the desk grows in line with budgeted expectation
  • Screening candidates and matching them to suitable job roles
  • Searching our database and exploring employment opportunities with candidates
  • Searching job boards and writing ads for each role you are recruiting for
  • Contacting candidates to arrange interviews via telephone and email
  • Establishing contacts to help build the client database
  • Negotiate salary and benefit issues job candidates
  • Respond to general consultancy enquiries
  • Arranging telephone and face to face interviews
  • Working to specific targets on budgeted financials, sales activity and results

Experience, attributes & skills sought:


  • Previous Recruitment experience is essential
  • B2B Sales
  • Comfortable presenting and engaging with clients senior management
  • Good interpersonal skills; an organised person who can work in a team, but also excel individually
  • Ability to deal with high pressure and excel in a target driven environment
  • Must be able to take direction but also demonstrate initiative
  • Has the drive and business acumen to take commercial responsibility for desk and thrives on the opportunity
  • Has exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
