Gap Healthcare are looking for registered nurses to join a 32 bed, low to medium secure mental health hospital in Diss.

The positions are for day and night staff. The successful candidates will be assisting service users with Autism / ASD, challenging behaviours, learning disabilities and profound and multiple learning disabilities.

Job Role:

• To encourage patients to develop skills in the community setting as part of a full discharge pathway.
• To provide care and treatment for patients with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability and associated mental health problems. This includes autistic spectrum disorders, personality disorders and enduring mental illness.

Individual programmes will vary depending on the patients needs as they progress through medium to low secure and community rehabilitation services.

Main Responsibilities:

• Helping Service Users to maintain all aspects of their domestic lives.
• To empathise and actively listen in a sensitive manner, accessing appropriate additional support where necessary.
• To ensure that Service Users maintain their independence, privacy and high standard of living.

The successful candidate must have the following;
- Minimum of 6 months experience within a RGN or RMN role
- In-date DBS (dated within the last year)
- Right to Work Documents
- Proof of Nursing qualification
- Proof of Nursing pin
Driving license and own car is preferred but not essential.
