Location: Sherbourne
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Salary: up to £40,000

Summary: 
We have a unique opportunity for a qualified accountant or an individual qualified by experience to work alongside our Deputy Head of Office who is responsible for the majority of all key reporting across our wider organisation. 

Main Responsibilities:

Provide support in the preparation of the following key reports:

Annual organisation wide budget
Bi-annual corporate actual v budget report
Quarterly organisation wide asset schedule

Assist in the operational management of a number of our corporate entities:

Annual billing review process
Quarterly forecasting of actual results
Close monitoring of a small number of corporate debtor ledgers

Keep your practical accounting skills up to date by ensuring the following is prepared for one or more of our corporate entities:

All finance functions and accounting records are accurately maintained
Management accounts are prepared in a timely manner
Statutory accounts with supporting year-end audit file compiled for internal and external audit review

Provide cover as and when required for the organisation wide monthly intercompany reconciliation.
Assist in the maintenance and recording of all investment and loan balances.
Undertake project work as and when required



Requirements

Is an experienced qualified accountant or an individual qualified by experience from a practice background.
Has a working knowledge of investment reporting which would be highly advantageous.
Is a high calibre, committed professional with a pro-active, organised and common-sense approach.
Has integrity, discretion and the ability to deal with confidential information.
Has excellent administration and communication skills (both written and verbal with high attention to detail).
Is tactful, diplomatic and approachable, with the ability to deal assertively with a wide range of people.
Has excellent IT skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Office and a range of accounting software.

 

Has an analytical and questioning mind. Takes ownership of tasks and follows them through to the end, seeks feedback on own performance and can respond positively to constructive criticism.
Enjoys working on their own or as part of a wider team, being a team player is key
